"Here's the place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch... especially the salad! Try the Mango, Pecan, Chicken Salad with special dressing! You'll think you're in Honolulu!" Lee says. "Sunday brunch is a real treat... bring your appetite and try the omelets."

"Have margaritas on the deck and watch the lake," says Lee. "Across the water, see fabulous waterfront estates! What a view! Weekends are special; hear live music."

"Sit outside (weather permitting) eating a waffle piled high with fresh strawberries, watching the boats cruising the lake," says Lee. "Feed the ducks with scraps of your waffle... they'll love you!"

"Sit at a table by a window or in a secluded booth, depending on your mood; the food and service will make you feel positively regal," says Lee. "Gather around the bar and fireplace to enjoy wine or your favorite spirits."

"The Chef makes delicious breads and soup; great for a hearty meal!" says Lee. "Gather round the bar for an evening of stories and jokes; hear the mountain 'oldtimers' at their peak of form!"

"Tender, juicy steak is a specialty of this Mexican restaurant," says Lee. "Or go for the standard Mexican food, cooked here with a flair!"

"Piano Bar, songs and good company, plus the warmth of a British or Irish Pub... the fun will entice you, the food will bring you back!" says Lee. "Everything's cooked to your liking and the desserts are fabulous! The whole mountain turns out here for St. Patrick's Day festivities!"

"Elmer Dills TV show filmed here and he was seated next to the stone fireplace... which is still MY favorite place to sit," says Lee. "Music on the weekends, great prime rib and wonderful company... like going to an old time timber lodge."

Sadly, proprietors Garry & Sonya Hunsperger have had to close down. "One of my favorite view restaurants, this closing has left a void in my roster of best places to eat on the mountain," said Lee. "I do wish the Hunspergers well in their new venue in the Palm Springs desert area and hope that one day they'll return."
